Even though the hand gesture in the image below suggests a spider man gesture, it is actually about muscle and gesture control.
MYO is an armband that slips around the forearm, and using motion and muscle sensors, is able to track movement and gestures, transforming them into input commands for various devices like computers, smartphones, tablets or television.
Whereas the Wii-mote, Kinect or Sony Move only work on the designated consoles, the MYO armband is designed to work with PC, Mac, iOS and Android operating system.
In the technical description, the armband has an ARM processor that is powered by rechargeable batteries. The communication with other devices is made via Bluetooth.
When it will be available ? It's said to be put on sale later in 2013, but for those who want it that bad, they can pre-order here at a price of $149. The best part is that MYO won't charge the pre-order until the device is actually shipped. It is available in two colors , black or white.
