Revine Nokia

 Nokia revine pe piata dispozitivelor mobile.


Desi in urma cu cateva saptamani era controversat numele de Nokia, asta pentru ca Microsoft a anuntat ca va scoate numele de Nokia din urmatoarele modele de telefoane smart Lumia, brandul in sine continua sa traiasca. Cu mult curaj si vointa isi vor inregistra brand-ul si vor permite altor producatori terti sa creeze produse si dispozitive care sa fie sub emblema Nokia.



Si iata, Nokia sparge gheata cu o tableta, modelul N1 la un cost de aproximativ 250$ si cu o infatisare de mini iPad.


Tableta de 7.9 inch are un cadru de aluminium dintr-o singura bucata, o grosime de 6.9 milimetrisi o greutate de 318 grame. Ca design poate vi se pare ca seamana cu un mini iPad... nu sunteti singurii care cred asta. Cu o camera pe spate de 8 megapixeli si una frontala de 5 megapixeli, set de 2 boxe, un procesor Intel Atom cu 4 nuclee, memorie RAM de 2GB cu spatiu de stocare de 32GB si un port reversibil USB tip C.



Acest ultim detaliu face diferenta in acest moment la aceasta tableta. Ce e special la acest port USB ? Faptul ca este similar cu ce gasim la Apple, porturile Lightning care nu tin cont de orientare. Cel mai posibil in 2015 majoritatea dispozitivelor vor adopta acest model de port reversibil, atat pentru Android cat si Windows. Inca un motiv pentru care e mai buna varianta asta este problema distrugerii portului USB, prin introducerea invers a mufei de tip de microUSB.






Important acum pentru ei este sa se miste suficient de repede cu lansarea acestui model, ca sa nu le fure altcineva startul. Finlandezii anunta lansarea undeva in jurul datei de 19 Februarie 2015 in China, urmand sa apara si in Rusia si Europa, iar spre final speram si la Statele Unite.

The next generation touch interface

Beyond the fact that technology continuously grows beyond our imagination, we see that every year  the electronic producers try to exceed consumer expectations and probably their own.




Therefor a technology that drawn my attention was  Tactus : "What if buttons could morph out of the surface of your device?"


           Tactus Technology consists in dynamic buttons that appear and disappear as needed. The company calls this technology "morphing tactile surface". In other words there are real physical buttons that grow on the screen when you're typing and disappear when there is no tactile interaction.


          The company has this technology running on an Android-based tablet, but it's not yet tied to any particular operating system.





How does it work ?



          A Tactus touchscreen device stores a small amount of fluid in a reservoir inside the phone or tablet. When the system call for buttons on the screen, a tiny amount of fluid flows into specified areas on the screen forming a QWERTY keyboard or a numeric keypad.





A risk in this particular technology might be the leak of fluid into the battery compartment.
Another question might be if this technology isn't a little too late for the market, taking in consideration that physical keyboards are no longer popular among smartphones, and also the cost that imply this technology.

The technology has built-in capability for multiple arrays, so that the manufacturers could enable dynamic switching between keyboard styles and it was tested for durability, passing all the tests with good grades.

Craig Ciesla ( Tactus chief executive) says: " We're planning to be in production by the end of this year". " We're working with customers on an exact launch date."
